Ok, there is just way too much going on in the world for us to reasonably be expected to keep track of it all. But for people who want to try (aka Learners, Input, 5s – if you know, you know), it can lead to a literally endless rabbit trail of more and more and more and more information to consume. And for people who don’t feel like trying (I want to understand you, but tbh I do not), the vastness of it all can feel like a good excuse to disengage. Well, my friends, here is a solution for everyone:
It’s a short (to shortish) daily newsletter summarizing the highlights of what is going on in the world. If you get tempted to read everything on the internet this can help you find a lot in one place without the temptation to spend the entire rest of your day clicking on more links and reading more articles. If you feel overwhelmed by all the things, this condenses it into a short enough email that you can have some understanding of the world and can contribute to water cooler conversations and generally be informed like the terrific human that you are.
Obviously nothing is perfect. Some people might find the Skimm to have a bias. Some people might think important information is left out (which can definitely happen). If you don’t like it, just unsubscribe! And actually, while we’re talking about unsubscribing, let me give you a little bonus Quick! Be Better! tidbit: Unroll.me. Clean up your inbox. You’re welcome.
Ok, that’s all. This is not a sponsored post (I WISH!) — I’ve just used these tools for years and find them helpful. Maybe you will too.
Go forth and be better.
